Who can use ECHOS’ services?
The mission of ECHOS is to assist those in need of medical/social services gain access to those services available in the community. All are welcome at ECHOS regardless of age, ethnicity, documentation status or sexual orientation.
Does ECHOS charge for its services?
There is no charge for services provided by the members of the ECHOS staff and volunteers or for services received from community service partners on the ECHOS campus.There may be some fees for services offered by our community service partners at their primary locations.
What documents do I need to bring when I visit ECHOS?
You do not need to bring specific documents to visit ECHOS. But some programs, such as the Medicaid/CHIP, SNAP and Harris Health Financial Assistance programs do require certain supporting documents. The ECHOS staff can also help you determine what paperwork may be necessary for other services you may need.

What if I don’t speak English?
The ECHOS’ staff is multi-lingual and work with clients to overcome language barriers.
How is ECHOS funded?
ECHOS is a non-profit organization and relies on the generosity of individuals as well as grant funding. Contributions can be made by clicking on the DONATE NOW tab on our website. We have 501 ( c ) 3 status as an institution of the Episcopal Church. Donations are tax deductible as allowable by law and may qualify for an employer match. Please check with your employer.
Does ECHOS use volunteers?
Yes. Opportunities for volunteering vary from scheduled, recurring commitments to ad hoc opportunities such as Shred Days or events. Please call Kathy Eckhardt, volunteer coordinator, and let her help you get “linked in” to ECHOS. 713.270.0369
